Story Telling for Financial Advisors

This program is designed for financial advisors who need to enhance their ability to communicate clear and concise explanations of complex ideas, theories, topics, or concepts to clients who are not financially versed.

Most people can assimilate complex information more easily when they can connect with it on an intuitive and emotional level. IG’s approach to Storytelling is unique and proven to create a connection between speakers and their audiences. Our Senior Trainers will show you how to explore complex concepts, topics, and theories in your field and translate them into stories that are engaging, informative, and memorable.

Course Outline


Applying IG’s Storyboard technique, participants will design the basis of their content using IG’s “Six Elements”: 1) Problem, 2) Data, 3) Risk, 4) R.O.I., 5) Recommendations, and 6) Measuring Success.

Using the Seven Client Profiles

Here, participants will be introduced to IG’s “Profile of Seven”. You will identify current and/or prospective clients who fall into one or more of the following categories: 1) Steward, 2) Fearful, 3) Independent, 4) Mogul, 5) Accumulator, 6) Risk-Taker, and 7) Innovator.

Developing Your Stories

Participants will learn how to develop their stories, using Alliteration, Analogies, and Metaphors.
